Description: 72nd Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervor and national spirit. Chief Guest manager Sr. Nirmala hoisted the “Tricolour” and took the salute of the marching columns of the different squad. This was followed by Independence Day Programmed which comprised of dance, song, speeches, and enactments. Thereafter, an inter-squad patriotic enactment competition was conducted to mark the event. This year Independence Day was celebrated with a difference. Students who secured 90% and above in the CBSE Board exam 2018 were felicitated along with their parents with certificates and mementos. Mr. Shashi Kant Rai, father of Board exam topper Anushka Rai was the guest of honor. Moreover, first, second and third rank holders and students with full attendance from classes VI to X during academic session 2017-2018 were given, certificates to appreciate and acknowledge their efforts. This year Independence Day celebration incorporated ecological ethics. Students, teachers, and principal Sr. Regi Joseph planted 100 saplings in and outside the school premises as part of “PRAKRITI MAHOTSAV” and “Mission Green Schools Campaign” from 13th to 15th August 2018.
